Life is still beautiful
So I didn't pass the New York Bar. I feel abnormally normal, and I still went to work as usual. I figured that I'll pass the bar eventually, it's just a matter of time. But anyways, congratulations to those who passed because you are now a real attorney; congratulations to those of us who didn't pass because the loooong wait is over.
I had gone through some hard times a while ago, but I am lucky to have strong support from my friends and my sister. In addition, I am currently working with a fun group of people in DC. And I have come to realize that nobody has a perfect life, but we learn to make our lives better. One of my colleagues said, "if one little thing makes you happy everyday, you'll be so much happier after a year." I take this saying by heart because after all, life is still beautiful.

I just found out that I did not pass NY either. I am also moving to DC in a couple of weeks for a job that does not require bar passage, but I was wondering if you had any advice as to how you are going to prepare to take the NY bar again while working in DC. And I thank you so much for your strong words and strong character.

Stumbled on your blog by accident. I'm an ABC, just graduated law school and will take the Feb. NY Bar - are you taking the bar again? I took princeton review in TPE as well - in 2002 (I think). So long ago. Anyways, I love your Chinese entries - helps me practice my reading (which sucks). I think it is very admirable that you got your JD in the States. I wish you luck.
